MISSION AND VALUES

At Sylvie Burstin Emm&Val, our mission is to uphold the impeccable and French-inspired haute couture that Sylvie brought to the brand.

We aim to make the art of haute couture accessible to new generations.

Conscious that fashion should be a reflection of society, the brand stands out through constant innovation, renewal, and evolution.

Sylvie Burstin Emm&Val is a brand with a vision of opening new horizons, constantly seeking growth both locally and internationally.

GENDERLESS HAUTE COUTURE

Our designs are born from an understanding of the body without any distinction, focusing on applying all our knowledge and technical precision to materialize desires into a unique design, aiming to move away from the conventional to achieve a unique, unexpected style, true to the wearer’s feelings.

It’s about breaking the rules with purpose, authenticity, and fashionista inspiration behind it.

Milestones
  • As an emblem of Argentina’s Fashion Industry, the brand remains the only direct link with Parisian Haute Couture. Throughout its 50 years in the local industry, it has had iconic moments, dressing important Argentine figures at international galas, such as Paloma Herrera, Prima Ballerina of the Teatro Colon, and at one time, serving as the brand’s ambassador.
  • A hallmark of the brand is its choice of excellent materials. Sylvie Burstin Emm&Val is a big family, with the most valuable asset being the hands of the artisans who have been working for years with the same commitment to maintaining luxury garment quality.
  • As Argentina’s representative, Sylvie Burstin was invited to various Fashion Weeks worldwide, showcasing her collections on runways in Moscow and Paris, among others, proving that Argentine Haute Couture is on par with the world’s greatest Houses of Haute Couture.
  • The brand, throughout its long history, has been awarded the “Silver Scissors” award for Best Haute Couture Collection several times, receiving the accolade on six occasions, in addition to being awarded the “Golden Scissors” award twice—the highest honor granted by the Argentine Chamber of Fashion across all sectors of the Argentine fashion industry.
  • Today, the brand continues to be favored by personalities such as Valeria Mazza, Belén Ludueña, Carolina “Pampita” Ardohain, and Wendy Hillebrand, wife of the current U.S. Ambassador to Argentina, Marc Stanley.
  • They also dress women from local culture, including the new generation of Argentine actresses like Mica Riera, who is one of the brand’s ambassadors, as well as Daryna Butryk and Clara Kovacic.
  • One of the greatest experiences for the designers was the pleasure of working for three years alongside someone who they consider their mentor in the art of French Haute Couture, Austrian designer Manfred Voguel, with whom they shared, in addition to a passion for high-fashion, other interests like classic jewelry.
